Marvell Receives Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Fabless Semiconductor AssociationSunnyvale, California (December 6, 1999) Marvell, a leading provider of high-performance, mixed-signal DSP integrated circuits for processing complex real-world communications signals, announced today that the company was recognized by the Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) with awards for outstanding achievement as the "Industry's Most Respected Private Fabless Company" and for "Outstanding Financial Performance by a Private Company." Marvell accepted the awards at the FSA's fifth annual Anniversary Dinner Celebration on December 2, 1999. The event, where fabless companies were recognized for exemplary success, strategy, vision, and future promise, attracted more than 1000 of the industry's top executives. "We're honored to receive these prestigious awards which recognize our technological developments and contributions to the semiconductor industry," said Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Marvell's president and chief executive officer. "Marvell is committed to developing the industry's most technologically advanced integrated circuits that enable a new era of high bandwidth applications and facilitate increased information capacity of data storage and broadband data communications infrastructures" Marvell's selection for the "Industry's Most Respected Private Company" award was determined by the results of a questionnaire sent to representatives from the fabless community, key suppliers and industry analysts. Marvell was rated in terms of product vision, strategy and future opportunities. Marvell also achieved an "Outstanding Financial Performance" award from the FSA for the Company's success in more than doubling its revenues and net income over the 12-month period ending September 1999. Financial information for privately held fabless companies was reviewed and deemed eligible by Ernst & Young LLP.
