Marvell Founders Receive 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year AwardDr. Sehat Sutardja, Ms. Weili Dai and Dr. Pantas Sutardja Collectively Awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year” in Networking and Communications Category Sunnyvale, California (June 21, 2004) — Marvell® (NASDAQ: MRVL), a technology leader in the development of extreme broadband communications and storage solutions, today announced that Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Ms. Weili Dai and Dr. Pantas Sutardja have been collectively named the 2004 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, in the Networking and Communications category, by the professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP. After a rigorous review process, the independent panel of 7 judges selected the Marvell founders as “Entrepreneur of the Year” based on their passion for innovation, technology leadership and business success. Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Ms. Weili Dai and Dr. Pantas Sutardja, along with other Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year category winners, were selected from among 24 award finalists from Northern California, all of whom were acknowledged at an awards gala on Friday, June 18, in San Francisco, California. “Dr. Sehat Sutardja, Ms. Weili Dai and Dr. Pantas Sutardja have truly built a world-class global semiconductor company as evidenced by their significant technology and product accomplishments as well as strong customer relationships,” stated Rick Fezell, Ernst & Young’s Emerging & Growth Markets leader. “Marvell consistently delivers innovative products and has proven their recipe for success.” Marvell has built expertise in core areas of technology including mixed-signal circuit design methodologies, broadband signal processing algorithms, custom digital signal processors, and system-level solutions.
