The low power, highly integrated, Discovery Innovation Series SoC connects to a multitude of peripherals making it ideally suited for Single Board Computer (SBC) applications. With outstanding performance and low power consumption, the MV78200 enables fanless SBC designs ideal for blade servers, data centers, and microTCA based systems. The SoC integrates a configurable, high speed DDR2 interface with ECC and offers flexibility in price, capacity, and speed in SODIMM selection. The PCI-e interface is optimized for performance and expansion -x1 PCI-e connect to ASICs and x4 PCI-e are used for I/O hub expansion. The USB connectivity supports a wide variety of devices including Wi-Fi modules, printers, PCs, scanners, and storage devices. Discovery Innovation Series SoCs also offer several booting options ─ low-cost NAND, higher capacity NOR, and low pin count SPI Flash, that further enhance its merits for SBC applications.
