The Marvell Prestera 98DX2x5 family of packet processors enables intelligent, secure service delivery and mobility in converging networks. The Prestera 98DX2x5 enables business continuity and application aware secure service delivery through Layer 2 and Layer 3 Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) by using MPLS based Virtual Private Wire Service (VPWs) and Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) functionality, coupled with IP-over-IP, IP-over-MPLS & Ethernet-over-MPLS capabilities. Support for tunneling capabilities in the Prestera 98DX2x5 family provides the ideal platform for building next generation converged networks, accommodating mobility and connectivity across 3G, Wireless LAN (WLAN) and wired networks.
