Join us at this year's OCP Global Summit to hear Marvell’s presentation in the Engineering Workshop: Networking track.
Topic: Using Open Interfaces to Advance AI/ML for Networking
Date: November 10th at 11:25-11:50 am
Speaker: Gidi Navon, Senior Principal Architect, Marvell
Abstract:
AI/ML technologies are being widely deployed in a variety of applications but their use within networking itself has been quite limited. Open interfaces and smart feature extraction of the network behavior will enable and boost the usage of AI/ML for networking in disaggregated solutions. This will facilitate the mix & match of networking gear with AI/ML technologies from different entities. In this talk, I will first list several use cases of AI/ML for networking applications and tools to support this functionality such as data reduction techniques that provide flow signatures, with AI engines centralized or on the networking gear. Following, I will share our view on the role of OCP in AI for networking and proposed work that could be done in concert with the SAI WG. In the end, I will showcase a solution for high-rate anomaly detection based on a network providing smart statistics on a group of packets and on a neural network that creates an ensemble of autoencoders.
