                     Read1st for QLogic Flash Image Package
                     -----------------------------------

 This read1st.txt file provides the basic information required for updating the contents of the flash on the
 QLogic adapter using automated procedures. For more detailed information on using the flashing utilities, 
 please refer to the appropriate subdirectory.

1. Contents Of Flash Package
--------------------------------

 The files contained in this Flash image package are zipped into a file that will expand to provide the 
 following versions for the Oracle Fibre Channel and Converged network Adapters Part numbers 7101674 
 and 7101682 (QLogic Models QLE8362 and QEM8362).

2. Flash Image Update Methods
--------------------------------

 The table in section 1 references the files needed to update the Flash image
 using any of the methods listed below: 

 Use QLogic Adapter vCenter Plugin for VMware to update the Flash image.

NOTES:

1. Make sure you have a compatible adapter before flashing using this package.

2. If a PCI Resource Failure occurs, disable the on board NIC through the system BIOS before running 
   update.bat.

3. It takes about 2-3 minutes to flash one adapter. Please do not interrupt the operation.
