LED Lighting and Controls
A U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) report estimates that in 2010 the use of Light-Emitting Diode (LED) technology in general lighting saved approximately 3.9 terawatt-hours of electricity-the same amount of energy used to power more than 250,000 U.S. homes. Moreover, 100 percent LED replacement by 2020 would save the amount of energy required for 32 million homes.
This type of energy conservation and savings is driving widespread adoption of LED lighting and control technology in buildings and homes throughout the world. LED Drivers
Marvell's unique mixed-signal LED driver architecture delivers high efficiency, high power factor, and low harmonics to general illumination, while our advanced dimming technology ensures compatibility with existing lighting infrastructures.
Deep Dimming Single-Stage AC/DC LED Driver IC
Marvell’s deep dimming single stage AC/DC LED driver integrated circuit achieves programmable deep dimming down to 1 percent and delivers the highest compatibility with wall box (TRIAC) dimmers in the industry. It also dramatically reduces the number of components needed for dimmable LED drivers, shrinking needed board space while providing superior light quality and dimming performance comparable to incandescent bulbs.

Marvell's dual-string intelligent LED driver uses advanced mixed-signal technology and high levels of integration. These features enable smaller, more energy-efficient lighting design, and lower bill of materials cost. Current driver products include:
External LED Drivers
Marvell's family of turn-key external LED driver solutions provide manufacturing-ready designs for low cost,high quality commercial LED lighting with options to integrate smart lighting control functionality. The driver designs, optimized for downlights, panel lights and other luminaries in the 12-40W range, support 0-10V, DALI and ZigBee dimming control.
Smart LED Lighting Platform
Marvell's Smart LED Lighting Platform is built around our innovative LED driver ICs and low-power ZigBee networking to provide a complete, wirelessly networked lighting control solution. A Wi-Fi/ZigBee gateway connects the lighting control networks to the premises networks, allowing for control via smartphones and tablets. The platform is also complemented by the Marvell Kinoma platform for rich UIs and access to new applications.
