Jay Kirkland

Senior Vice President, Custom Silicon Engineering

Jay Kirkland is Senior Vice President of Custom Silicon Engineering at Marvell. In this role, he leads the company’s Custom Silicon Engineering organization, driving the development and execution of next-generation custom silicon and AI infrastructure solutions for AI and data center customers.

Prior to joining Marvell, Jay served as Corporate Vice President at AMD, where he led global organizations supporting the deployment of AI and cloud infrastructure solutions across hyperscale cloud providers, AI innovators, and enterprise customers. At AMD, Jay played a pivotal role in bringing multiple generations of AMD EPYC™ server platforms from development through customer deployment.

Jay brings more than 30 years of semiconductor industry experience spanning silicon development, platform engineering, product delivery, and customer engagement. He began his career at NCR developing ASICs for x86-based server platforms before joining Intel, where he spent more than two decades in engineering and business leadership roles across client computing, data center, and programmable solutions businesses.

Jay holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
