Marvell Receives the Prestigious GTI Innovation Award from Global Mobile Operators and Partners for its Industry Leading 4G LTE Mobile Solution
Leading global 4G LTE alliance recognizes Marvell's ARMADA Mobile PXA1088 LTE single-chip SoC with Innovation Award in the Multi-Mode, Multi-Band Products category
Barcelona and Santa Clara, California (February 25, 2014) – Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL) today announced the Marvell® ARMADA® Mobile PXA1088 LTE, a 5-mode 4G LTE system-on-chip (SoC) platform, received the prestigious Global TD-LTE Initiative’s (GTI) Innovation Award 2014 in the Multi-Mode Multi-Band Products category from global mobile operators and partners. As a founding member of GTI, China Mobile is projected to deploy100 million 4G LTE smartphones in 2014, enabled by the recent launches of affordable 1,000 RMB (approx USD $165) smartphones from leading OEMs including Yulong Coolpad, Lenovo, and Hisense. Combined with the new Kinoma® Connect application software, the latest eMMC mobile storage and mobile printing technologies, the ARMADA Mobile PXA1088 LTE is an integral part of Marvell’s end-to-end complete mobile solution to advance the “Smart Life and Smart Lifestyle” for users across the globe. The GTI Innovation Awards recognize innovation in the Long Term Evolution (LTE) industry and encourage the development of innovative products that address challenges faced by GTI operators. Winners were announced at GTI Night held Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 in Barcelona, Spain.
