Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Announces the Appointment of Gary Ignatin as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
Santa Clara, California (February 27, 2017) – Marvell (NASDAQ: MRVL), a leader in storage, networking, and connectivity semiconductor solutions, today announced that Gary Ignatin has joined Marvell as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Gary’s primary responsibilities at Marvell will be corporate development, long-term strategy, and leading strategic growth initiatives -- all areas in which he has deep experience.
“The competitive landscape of the semiconductor industry is changing,” said Matt Murphy, Marvell’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “Gary is a proven leader, and having someone of his caliber to assess new opportunities and drive long-term strategy will be invaluable.”
Most recently, Gary spent 16 years at Broadcom Corporation. As Vice President of Corporate Development, he led all M&A activities and was involved in over 30 transactions. He also served in a number of legal roles including Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Previously Gary held positions at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Latham & Watkins.
Gary earned a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
