5G offers new and enhanced classes of connectivity for Ultra-reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC), Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC) and Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) services. Among the transformative effects of 5G is a software­ defined network slicing capability. Instead of a network architecture where all devices share the same communication channels, carriers can partition physical network resources into virtual instances of private enterprise connectivity, offering application-optimized connectivity or tiered services with differing levels of bandwidth, security, and latency. Edge Intelligence

With increasing system complexity, successful 5G evolution increasingly depends upon incorporating Al/ML technology into planning, deployment and operation of the network.
