  • Fluorescent-bulb technology that produces 40 percent brighter light and consumes 30 percent less power;
  • Advanced electronic lighting ballasts that save 50 percent more energy than standard ballasts; and
  • Networked heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maximize energy savings.

The Company is also committed to increasing the energy efficiency of consumer electronics across the industry. As a founding member of the Smart-Electronics Initiative, Marvell is working with the Green Technology Leadership Group and The Energy Foundation to promote the integration of power management technologies in today’s electronic devices. This effort brings together industry leaders and policymakers to address issues related to the growing energy demand.

About Newsweek’s Green Rankings

According to Newsweek, the publication’s Green Rankings cut through the green chatter and compare the actual environmental footprints, management (policies, programs, initiatives, controversies) and reporting practices of companies across the globe. Newsweek partnered with two leading environmental research organizations, Trucost and Sustainalytics, to conduct this study and the methodology was developed in consultation with an advisory panel of corporate sustainability experts. The result: the most comprehensive rankings available on this subject.
