Marvell Montage: Stories of Recharging and Finding Meaning

Doing your best work requires a little balance. Every quarter at Marvell, employees around the globe have the opportunity to partake in a Recharge Weekend, two extra paid days off, to relax how they see fit. While enjoying their time off, many employees found a deeper connection to their meaningful work at Marvell.
For Senior Staff Test Engineer Yaswanth Chalamalasetti, the benefit provided an opportunity to connect with nature, with the waterfall serving as a metaphor for his work on the test floor.
“Got a break from testing chips thanks to Marvell's amazing Recharge Weekend benefit, but I was still ‘testing the waters’ by hiking to beautiful Tumpak Sewu,” says Chalamalasetti. “The name means ‘a thousand waterfalls,’ and it's a great reminder that success (and a good bin—aka a working chip shipped to a customer) comes from a thousand small steps rather than one giant leap. And just like the water flowing here, ideas never stop, and neither does Marvell.”

Engineered to Collaborate: Robot Racing as a Microcosm of Marvell

“You have exactly one hour. Good luck! Go!!” the announcer shouted into the microphone. At the Marvell headquarters in Santa Clara, California, the cafeteria was transformed into an engineering workshop. Every table was filled with a box of mechanical parts containing everything needed to build a robot fit for a race around campus.
Around 170 Marvell employees teamed up in groups of eight to ten to bring their visions to life. The Robot Racing event, a Marvell tradition, sparks creativity and teamwork among colleagues, embodying what Marvell is all about.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to get together, use our brains outside of regular meetings, have a team building event, laugh together and have fun,” said Principal Engineer Anis Weldon. “And if we win? That’s good! And even if we lose, that’s okay. We get the experience.”

Program Spotlight: Marvell New Graduates Accelerate Professional/Technical Skills and Build Community

Entering the workforce as a new graduate is a big milestone. Marvell aims to set up new grads for success through supportive programming designed to fast-track early career growth and foster community among cohorts.
Approximately 200 new graduate hires across the United States, Canada, and India recently completed the inaugural New Graduate Accelerator Program at Marvell. Through technical learning, professional development and community-building experiences—including connections with senior leaders and engineers across the company—new grads built the technical expertise, skills and relationships needed to navigate the first year at Marvell. Along the way, we also gained a deeper understanding of the company’s business, technology and culture.

The Road Back to Marvell: Finding Impact and Scale in AI Networking

There’s a saying in Hebrew that every ending is the first chapter of a new beginning. When it comes to my Marvell story, the new beginning had the same starting point.
I graduated university with a degree in computer engineering and joined Marvell as a Storage Security Firmware Engineer, working within a group focused on building security infrastructure from the ground up. It was a fascinating experience where I learned an immense amount about code, lab environments and firmware development. It was my ideal work environment: high energy, constantly challenging and had a meaningful impact.

The Marvell Internship Experience: Voices from the Program

Summer at Marvell means one thing: welcoming a new class of interns. The company has established a strong global internship program that has roughly doubled in size over the past few years. This year’s cohort includes more than 500 interns from over 100 universities and schools across 16 countries.
During the program, interns gain hands-on experience working in collaborative teams, contributing to the development of leading-edge semiconductor solutions at a Fortune 500 company. The internship provides opportunities to connect with fellow interns to build community while learning about Marvell products and businesses directly from executive leaders.
