Employees have demonstrated remarkable resiliency over the past few years, adjusting to new ways of working during an unprecedented global crisis. It forever changed how employees think about their workplaces, careers, and personal lives, giving them new perspectives on what really matters.
As a company, Marvell has also been evolving, tapping into employee experiences, and listening intently to their opinions on what makes Marvell a great place to work and how we can continuously improve. We were pleased to consistently hear appreciation for being able to experiment with cutting-edge technology, develop skills, and build products that help connect people all over the world.
But another pattern took shape in their commentary as they emphasized the importance of teammates and leaders, uttering words like transparency, integrity, and respect. We believe these adjectives are no coincidence. They are interrelated characteristics Marvell has purposefully cultivated to help employees thrive.
Vishakha D, a senior firmware engineer, sees these characteristics in action every day at Marvell. "There's a lot of respect, kindness among the people. There's a lot of trust within the team members, she said. "This is what I believe is binding everybody together here."
Trust and respect are essential because industry-changing, life-altering innovation is not easy. But Marvell employees are not deterred by things that are hard. They simply put their heads together. In fact, we often say "done right, means done together."
According to Quandra H, Senior Staff Manager, facing tough problems as a team is part of the magic of Marvell. "When you are able to lean into the challenges by leaning on each other and learning together, that makes it really great," she said.
Collaboration that leads to a breakthrough is only possible with the support of transparent leadership. This is another theme that comes up time and again when we talk to Marvell employees about their experiences and what they enjoy most about the company.
"This is a company with a lot of integrity, starting from the leadership," according to Kishore A., Director of Product Management. "There's a lot of great discourse. It's very transparent."
